Another key advantage is that this type of adhesive tape can be cleaned easily by simply wiping it clean with a wet cloth.
- Low Maintenance - Silicone adhesive tape is low maintenance because it does not form any kind of adhesives on its surface. Also, it will not attract or stick onto other materials. This means that you do not have to clean or repair any polyester tape-based products whenever you experience problems with splicing or bonding. Additionally, it will not degrade or become damaged by chemicals such as acids or alkalis. - Powder Coat Masking - Powder coat tape offers another advantage over the most conventional polyester tape. It is especially suited for applications where heavy or large parts of the project require precision splicing or bonding. The high-precision characteristics of powder coating tape allow it to bond and stitch together even the most complicated splicing or bonding processes. Moreover, the high heat-resistant properties of powder coating tape provide long service life even under high-temperature exposure.
Powder coating masking operations often require the application of multiple layers of Polyester Tape in order to achieve the desired final results. Consequently, the cost of Polyester Tape should be considered when determining if the powder coating tape is the most appropriate type for your application. Powder coating tape should be applied at the correct distance from the substrate to achieve optimal adhesion and bond to the substrate, and it should be applied with enough pressure to ensure the proper adhesion of the Polyester Tapes to the substrate. If the required pressure and the appropriate distance are not available, the second coat of polyester tape may be required. For applications where the substrate to be coated is more complex and the need for multiple coats of Polyester Tapes is high, the use of High-Density Polyester (HDPE) may be preferred.
